Khula Development Trust opened the door for Honey badger and Tribe to join forces for this training in Paarl East.
While the main goal of the Culture Shift program is to implement positive values into schools, we have a few powerful processes built in. This makes the program more effective as well as sustainable.
Our team works with the school to move the existing values program from posters to practice. This supports the Transform to Perform program from the Western Cape Educational Department and in the long term creates a healthier environment in the school on all levels.
We create a structure within the school which supports teachers' mental health, creates a supportive atmosphere and mentors learners so that they can do the same. It is simple and takes almost no time at all and just requires the application of a few simple habits.
After the initial training, staff is supported throughout the year to make their plans a reality. Our team will encourage, give possible solutions and bring energy to the project. We do this through one on one meetings, sharing resources and connections.
Integrated in the process for implementing values within the school is leadership training for the schools prefects/RCL. We train them in leadership principles and then put them into practice within the school in the practical implementation of the values. our training is ongoing, practical and on a level that is understandable and relevant for the learners.
