Study skills course with a difference

Our instructor is both a teacher, trainer and mom. Because of this she has marked tests and exams and seen the most commonly made mistakes. She also understands the very real challenges of being a working parent and having to juggle the demands of work and parenting.  

Although there are many excellent study skills courses out there, most of them are a one or at most two day workshop. We have found that while this is efficient for the trainers, it isn't the most effective way for the learners. With this in mind our course is broken down into Three Levels with two sessions per level. In this way learners can do Level one and actually apply what they have learnt before going ahead with the next level. In this way they are not overwhelmed with information overload, which leads to more anxiety and often, inaction. After they compete Level One and feel the win of putting small practices in place, they have the confidence to move onto more advanced Levels and conquer those too. 

By doing shorter sessions schools can sign up for an entire grade or even phase to the course. This makes the course much more affordable than if it is presented individually or in groups

While our content is based on sound theory, when presenting it to learners we have a strong emphasis on what they can DO to help them study more effectively. While the training usually happens in a classroom, it has a workshop and interactive feel in order to engage the learners who typically don't thrive in the traditional classroom set up.
